Upcoming SUVs 2019 In India our Indian market will be flooded with new SUVs with so many Automobile Manufacturers are preparing to launch their latest offerings in the compact SUV to the luxury SUV segment.

Let’s take a look at what to expect in 2019:

Tata Harrier

Probably the most highly anticipated SUV of them all is the all new Tata Harrier. Debut at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi as the Tata H5X concept.

On its debut, Tata H5X popularity made the concept a massive star on the 2018 Auto Expo, and everyone was so impressed with what Tata Motors hard work finally paid off.

Tata H5X was named as the Tata Harrier earlier this month, and Tata Motors also released some of the photos of the production version, but it’s still a mystery on how the Harrier looks.

Tata Harrier will be based on Tata Motors OMEGA platform which is a modified version of the Land Rovers L550 platform which underpins the Discovery Sport.

Renault Duster

The all-new 2nd generation Renault Duster will make its debut in the Indian market next year. The new Dusters design is more of an evolution than the revolution and picks up from where the current generation Renault Duster will left.

The all-new Duster will get more stylish wider chrome grille, redesigned headlights with LED daytime running lights.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk

Its been a long time coming.

Fiat Chrysler Automobile will launch the Jeep Compass Trailhawk in the Indian market with its off-roading package it will differentiate from the regular Compass. Also, this will be the first Jeep Compass to be offered with a combination of diesel engine and automatic gearbox.

Mahindra XUV300

Mahindra Rise launched it’s much awaited new sub-four meter SUV Mahindra XUV300 that will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford Ecosport.

The XUV300 is based on Ssangyong Tivoli’s monocoque platform. The Mahindra XUV300 looks similar to the Tivoli but with some exterior and interior changes.

Nissan Kicks

Nissan Motors all-new Nissan Kicks will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass. Compare to the Euro-Spec Nissan Kicks the Indian-Spec Nissan Kicks is 89mm longer, 66mm taller and based on a wheelbase that is 53mm longer than the Euro-Spec Nissan Kicks.

The Indian-Spec Nissan Kicks also gets projector beam headlamps with the shape of headlamps and tail lamps is similar to those on the Euro-Spec model.

The Indian-Spec Nissan Kicks also has a different rear bumper against the Euro-Spec version with a thinner black panel under the bumper. There’s also satin finished scuff plate which adds a bit of toughness to it.

Hyundai Venue

At the 2016 Auto Expo, Hyundai Motors India showcased the Hyundai Carlino concept. The all-new Hyundai Venue compact SUV will be based on the Carlino concept which has a codenamed Qxi.

The Hyundai Venue’s design is inspired by the Carlino concept and the Kona SUV and will also have a resembles from Hyundai Creta.

Hyundai Tucson Facelift 2019

As the midsize SUV segment is getting hotter and hotter, Hyundai Motors India will bring its Tucson facelift to the Indian market.

Mahindra Alturas G4

Mahindra Alturas SUV, the rebadged version of the Ssangyong Rexton, has been officially launched on 24 November.

This will be the Mahindra’s flagship SUV in their portfolio and the biggest too. It will go head to head with Toyota Fortuner which is a best seller in this segment and the mighty powerful Ford Endeavour.

The Alturas SUV will be powered by 2.2 liters Diesel engine which produces 180bhp and 450nm of torque. And this engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox sourced from Mercedes Benz that will send power to all four wheels.

Audi India is gearing up to launch the second generation Audi Q3 in the Indian market next year. The bigger sibling Audi Q8 truly inspires the all-new Q3.

The new generation Audi Q3 is much roomier than the previous generation Audi Q3 thanks to the Volkswagen ambitious MQB platform architecture which the new Audi Q3 is based on. Also, the overall length and width have seen a marginal increment.

The all-new BMW X2 is scheduled to launch in India by next year. BMW said its design has a certain appeal to attract the younger buyers.

First showcased at the BMW Concept X2, as design wise production version of the BMW X2 has been mostly unchanged. The BMW X2’s cabin will be similar to that BMW X1 and will be equipped with an 8.8-inch iDrive display, and the heads-up display will be optional.

BMW India’s first launched will be the all-new BMW X4. The X4 was introduced in 2014 as the first generation model. This new X4 will be the second generation model.

The BMW X4 is solely based on the X3, and the X4 is a little bit larger than X3. On the X4 you will get the two engine options first being the 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 252bhp of power and the 350nm of torque.

And the second one is the 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine which produces 265bhp of power and the 620nm of torque.

Mercedes GLE

The all-new Mercedes GLE is heading towards the Indian market next year. For the first time in Mercedes GLE history, there will be a seven-seat configuration option will also be offered.

The Mercedes GLE will also get more advanced suspension system that surpasses the Mercedes S Class suspension system Mercedes Benz claims. The GLE has more space than the previous generation model with a more prolonged wheelbase increase by 80mm at 2,995mm.

Jeep Wrangler

FCA India will launch the new generation Jeep Wrangler by next year. The design mostly remains unchanged with minimal styling changes are made to the new generation model.

The all-new Jeep Wrangler is also getting two new four-cylinder engines a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine and the new 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine. Both these powertrains are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

If you need more power, there’s also a 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine and the 3.0-liter diesel engine.
