Tata Motors much awaited and highly anticipated Tata Harrier SUV is expected to unveiled globally in the month of December 18, as per media reports on the internet.
Tata Harrier launched is scheduled to take place sometime on January 19. Bookings for the Tata Harrier SUV has already begun for a deposit of 30,000rs. Deliveries are also expected to commence in the second half of January 19.
At the Auto Expo 2018 in Delhi, Tata Motors Harrier SUV made its debut as a concept. Tata Harrier SUV exterior design will follow Tata’s Impact Design 2.0 which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 in Delhi.
So at the front, we’re expected to see the slimmer grille with LED headlights, aggressive looking side profile and steeply raked roofline with large alloy wheels.
The interiors of Tata Harrier will also be the best ever fitted in the Tata Motors cars.
Tata Motors has already revealed the new engine family that will power the Tata Harrier SUV. The 2.0-litre Kryotec engine is sourced from FCA’s Multijet 2 family which we have already seen on Jeep Compass.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine is expected to produce 140bhp on the 5 seater version that will be debut first and the more powerful 170bhp on the 7 seater version.
There will be two gearbox options in the Tata Harrier that will be offered with a 6-speed manual and the 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The new Kryotec engine will get electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger (EVGT) for a much better response.
The Kryotec engine will also get adapting drive modes with a terrain response system which will be featured in the Tata Harrier.
Tata Motors Tata Harrier will be based on Land Rovers D8 platform. To keep costs down Tata Motors have modified the D8 platform to create an Omega-Arc (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture) platform.
Tata Harrier will be rugged, tough and a great off-roader with a much better design and build quality.
Tata Motors Tata Harrier is expected to have a price tag between 9 to 12 lakh rupees bracket.
