Hyundai is gearing up to the launch the much awaited Santro with one petrol engine and CNG options to the mass market.
The launch will happen on 23rd October 2018 with deliveries commence later at the month end or early next month. The Santro will be fitted with two gearbox options one being 5-speed manual and the other being 5 speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
The 1.1-liter petrol powered engine will produce a healthy 69hp at 5,500 rpm with 10.1 kgm of torque and will give a fuel economy of 20.3 km/l. The CNG variant, on the other hand, will produce 59hp at 5,500 rpm and 8.6 kgm of torque. The CNG tank has a capacity of 8 kg of gas.
There will be five variants on offer Dlite, Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta, and the Asta being the top spec variant model. The Asta variant will be equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and comes with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The Hyundai Santro will be available in seven color options Grey, Blue, Red, White, Beige, Silver, and Green.
The Hyundai Santro will also come with safety features, such as ABS, EBD, a driver’s airbag and there’s also a rear parking sensor available as standard.
Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) is expecting that the new Hyundai Santro will help them to achieve a much bigger sales and to gain more profitability and more market share. The Hyundai Santro has an old legacy in India the Santro brand itself is almost 20 year’s old, so Hyundai India Motor Limited is expecting that this new gen Santro will achieve the same success as the old the gen Santro.
Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) expecting to achieve at least 10,000 units per month but not more than. The new gen Hyundai Santro will be targeting audience will be first time buyers. The all-new Santro is expected to priced at 3.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
