Mahindra Rise is all set to launch their much awaited compact SUV the all-new Mahindra XUV300 on
Codenamed the S201 the all-new Mahindra XUV300 is based on the Ssangyong’s Tivoli X100 platform which is successful model globally that has been sold 2.6 lakh units since the launch on 2015 and has available over 50 plus countries worldwide.
The Ssangyong’s Tivoli has also received a Grade 1 safety award from the Korean New Car Assessment Program (KNCAP) for the many safety and ergonomic features.
Mahindra said that the XUV300’s design gets the inspiration from the Cheetah!, this is officially confirmed that the Mahindra has an obsession with the wildlife and the sea life creatures.
Mahindra said in their press release statement that the headlights with the integrated fog lamps formed in cheetah like tear duct for that i need to see the cheetah first!
The wheel arches on the XUV300 gets the inspiration from the haunches of the cheetah. The all-new Mahindra XUV300 also features the Mahindra’s modern new grille design, a sculpted bonnet with the floating shoulder and body lines to give the XUV300 a muscular stance and the bold road presence.
Mahindra’s all-new XUV300 also gets the LED DRL’s in the headlights and tail lamps also features the LED treatments.
Mahindra Rise punch line also screams a lot “Set The Roads On Fire” I hope Mahindra will provide and fire extinguisher with the SUV itself or as a first in segment feature.
Anyways jokes apart, the Mahindra said that the all-new Mahindra XUV300 will also get the first in segment features like a sunroof, a large touchscreen or a dual-zone climate control.
The all-new Mahindra XUV300 expected to get the power from the 1.5-litre diesel engine which made its debut first on the Mahindra Marrazo MPV which makes a 121bhp of power at 3,500rpm and the 300nm of torque at the 1,750rpm-2,500rpm.
The all-new Mahindra XUV300 will also get the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine but the power figures are yet to release so for that we have to wait until the launch of the Mahindra XUV300.
Both the petrol and the diesel engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a automatic transmission variant will be followed later in the year.
The all-new XUV300 will also compete with Hyundai’s Creta but with the base variants, depending on how the Mahindra will price the new XUV300. The pricing for the Mahindra XUV300 will be released on the launch on February 15 2019.
All in all this Mahindra XUV300 compact SUV will surely marked it’s footprint on the India’s hottest compact SUV segment. And sure will make already hot segment to a much more hotter segment.
